How Pure is Pure?

People are wondering about the purity of our fertilizer since it is made with ingredients from scary batteries! That is a valid concern and is one of the biggest roadblocks to making recycled batteries useful, thereby keeping them out of landfills. 🚮

When we are talking about impurities, there are a few toxic materials that we are looking for: Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, etc. These materials are all naturally occurring elements that can be found in soil untouched by humans. Many organic fertilizers have hundreds of parts per million (ppm) of the toxins. ☣️ ⚠️

So how do you make the fertilizer pure?

How do you know it's pure?

So how pure is Nutri-Cell then?

According to AAPFCO standards, a fertilizer like Nutri-Cell would be allowed to have 365ppm Lead, but our fertilizer is incredibly around 1000x purer than those standards! 🌻
